It has been almost two years since I have seen my mom and Nana. I would say it was about time that we spent some time together. The last 12 days have been such a fun time together! Well, with one exception and I will share that with you at the end.
For our first outing we went to the Niagara Cave. Kevin and I thought this would be a perfect day trip for the four of us to get away! Nana did amazing with the 250 steps she had to climb. (Each way) If I recall correctly my mom was the only one complaining of sore legs the following day!
One evening we stayed home and did a little bowling…on the Wii. To our surprise we enjoyed ourselves way more than we expected. We even have the pictures and video to prove it!
Mom and Nana can’t come for a visit without us taking them to the Cities. Chanhassen Theater here we come! We enjoyed our evening having a nice dinner and watching the musical Hairspray. Before the show started we visited the gift shop and Nana bought me a new study Bible. I was beyond happy and she got what she needed… something to sit on so she could see the stage. We sure did get a few good laughs from her ulterior motives.

The following evening we headed back to the Cities to spend the evening with our birth family. We all had a wonderful time talking, laughing and getting to know each other. We truly have enjoyed getting to know Katelyn and her family. We look forward to seeing them again soon! They ALL are such a blessing to our family. We sure did miss you Megan and we hope school is treating you kindly!

Nana decided to give us a HUGE scare the morning before their plane was scheduled to leave. Saturday morning she woke up and the room was spinning to the point we had to call 911 and have the ambulance transport her to the hospital. After 3 days of testing, treatments, and laying flat on her back the doctors determined she had a severe case of Vertigo and they were able to get her “rocks” in her head back in place. Nana was a trooper and never loss her sense of humor. We praise the Lord for protecting her, allowing everything to go smoothly with the airlines, and giving Nana the strength to fly home the day after she was released from the hospital.
We had a full 12 days together and we are already looking forward to next time!
