Proud Little Boy

Fall is here and I am finding ourselves indoors a lot more during the day. It is easy to get stir crazy with a toddler, so Logan and I have been doing more indoor crafts together.  With Christmas right around the corner I thought it would be special to make a hand print ornament. Logan literally did a little dance when he found out I was going to let him stand on the chair to make this craft! He did such a good job mixing the dough, rolling it out, and making his hand prints. After 3 hours of baking it was all done. Now I just need to paint it and it will be ready to hang on our Christmas tree!

Baking with Mommy

I hope Logan's love for baking with mommy never grows old.  He enjoys each step of the process. I think his favorite part is licking the spoon...that is until the oven beeps and he gets to devour his cookie! Setting a morning aside to bake has slowly become a part of our weekly routine. Each week Logan is able to do more and more to help. This week we are going to tackle pumpkin cookies!

Yummy to my tummy

Waiting...waiting...waiting
Mommy the cookies are ready!

Kim Comes for a Visit

We have had a few extra visitors since Mom and Dad Youel have moved to town. Kim came for a visit over her birthday weekend!  We have been wanting to cook together, so for her birthday gift we spent a few nights cooking and baking together.  It was fun sharing a few of my favorite recipes with her. Logan made Aunt Kim a cute card wishing her a happy birthday!

Kevin and I were itching to take Logan on a good long bike ride. With Kim in town we were one bike short, so Kim jumped on Steven's bike and took it for a spin. What a trooper!  Half way through our bike ride we took a break and let Logan play at the park. We all ended up having a lot of fun at the play ground!

Making stepping stones for Mom and Dad's Anniversary was the big highlight of the weekend. We were a little worried about the weather, but it ended up being a beautiful day. I wanted to get Logan in on the action, so we used his foot to make a butterfly. It turned out so cute. We found out Logan is not a fan of getting his feet wet and muddy. Everyone's stones turned out perfect!
