Apple Picking Time!

This weekend we spent Saturday morning and afternoon with some of our dear friends at Sekapp’s Apple Orchard.  I am not exaggerating when I say that we could not have had a better day.  The weather was absolutely fabulous!  Ok, I will admit the one thing that would have made our day better was to have Julie and her family there with all of us.  This was our 1st families get together for our Ladies Bible study.  I have been blessed deeply by each one of these ladies.  I have had the privilege of walking through life with these ladies since the beginning of this year.  We have laughed uncontrollably together, cried together, witnessed the Lord answer prayer after prayer together, and watched the Lord do amazing things in each of our marriages and family lives.  There is no doubt that God had a plan when he brought each of us together.  I look forward to every Monday night as the Spirit shows up and guides our time together in the Word.  It is pretty exciting to think about what the Lord has in store for us as we continue to walk through life together as sisters in Christ. Now on to our day at the Orchard….

All of our little pumpkins!

On our way home Kevin and I talked about what tradition we would start doing as a family for the fall.  We both decided that every year we would go apple picking together as a family. It doesn't stop there...then we will head home for a nap and make a homemade apple pie together!

Logan's 1st Trip to IL

Kevin and I thought it was about time that we took a road trip to go visit his parents.  So, last week we packed up Logan and ALL of his things and headed their direction.  Logan  was the perfect travel buddy there and back.  Kevin took a couple extra days off of work so we had an extended long weekend visiting his parents.  We did a lot of cooking, the guys worked on the roof, watched movies, worked on crafts, played games, and spent time playing with Logan.  He got to know Mandy, their dog, very well. He kept petting her each time she walked by.  They even had a couple of stare downs. It looks like we will need to get Logan a puppy sometime soon!  We also were able to enjoy an evening catching up with our dear friends. I wish I would have taken the time to capture more of our time there with pictures. I am happy I at least snapped a few!

Visiting Grandpa and Grandma Youel's church.

He is not a fan of hats these days.
Seemed like we were always in the kitchen. ;)
Mom's birthday gift from Kevin and I.  I made it to
match her kitchen!
Stopped to visit Uncle Dan and Aunt Kim
 on our way back home.

We met up with some friends at Mayowood Stone Barn, on August 21st, to take a few family snapshots.  We had the perfect weather and a fun time hanging out with our friends!
