Happy 6th Birthday, Logan!

Logan turned 6 years old today! He is so full of life, energy, and personality. We celebrated by having the family over for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle birthday. Complete with cake and balloons! The guys ended up spending the afternoon playing with Logan's new toys. This year Logan has grown to love bike riding. His favorite thing to do this summer was find new bike paths each weekend. We gave Logan a map of the bike paths in Rochester for his birthday. Our plan this summer is to tackle as many as possible!  Logan is loved by so many and that makes my heart swell with joy. 

I asked Logan his birthday questions and here are his answers:

• What do you want to be when you grow up? Why? Fire Fighter, because Jack is going to be a police officer and we can meet up at each fire.
• What is your favorite color? Red
• What is your favorite thing to do with Daddy?  Lego Marvel video games. Mommy? Go to bowling alley.
• Favorite sport? Why? Soccer, because I love to run.
• Favorite thing you did this year? Skiing with Gram
• Best Friend? Jack and Robert
• Favorite book? Scooby - Doo and The International Express, because they use fancy words from England.
• Favorite movie? Star Wars
• What does Jesus mean to you? The maker of ice cream and everything
• Favorite toy to play with? video games and legos
• Favorite food and dessert? banana and every kind of dessert

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is truly one of my most favorite times of the year. I love the Christmas music flowing through the house, decorating my home, Christmas crafts, Christmas events, Christmas plays, and the list goes on and on. This year we did keep it very simple. We chose one event, one craft, and one Christmas movie to watch as a family. We did do some Christmas cookies too! Logan was a big help in decorating the Christmas trees this year. It was our first year to do two trees. 

We all decided on Zoodazzle this year as our family outing. It was a great choice. There were a lot of lights to see as we walked around to see all the animals. It was a first for us to go to a zoo at night! 

"Santa" came again this year for Logan. He asked for a red monster truck and that is what he got, along with a stocking full of goodies. He was a happy boy! After Santa, we headed over to Aunt Tami's house to have our family Christmas together. Logan handed out all the gifts and as usual he was spoiled with lots and lots of toys. We spent the rest of our Christmas break at Kim and Dan's with the rest of the family. We played games, watched movies, went bowling, ate and ate and ate. It is always nice to have all of us together. It was Avery's 1st Christmas and she was center of attention. She is one adorable little girl! 

The Lord has blessed our family in countless ways!

Master Kevin Youel

 After two years of hard work Kevin finally graduated with his Master of Science in Technology. While going to school he worked full time at Mayo, had his own side business, was an amazing father and husband and ran this household. We could not have made it without God's grace. Most days I could not get off the couch due to my chronic pain and not once did a negative comment come out of his mouth. He just made it all happen without complaining. If there was one person I would want to look up to it is my husband. What a honor it is for Logan to call him his father. I am blessed to call Kevin my husband and partner in this thing called Life! We all are so proud of you, Kevin. 

Fall Play

Today was the day we were going to finish raking up all the leaves. There is no way to just rake leaves when you have a 5 year old. It turned into a good game of crochet and a leaf fight. After I was covered in leaves I slipped away and went indoors to leave the boys to work the afternoon away cleaning up the leaves. Win for Mommy!

Thankful for Thanksgiving

We sure do have so much to be thankful for this year, as we do every year. We spent Thanksgiving relaxing, playing games and sharing a meal with our family. Each year Logan asks for a pumpkin pie and with his help he gets one! 

A Little Project

The 1st Saturday of each month Home Depot has a fun project to allow kids to learn and be creative. I think this is such a neat thing they offer. We plan on making this a monthly experience for Logan. It is a fun activity that can get us out of the house in the long winter months!

Happy Halloween

Kevin and I got to spend Halloween with Flash! We kept up with him the best we could. Boy, was he fast! He invited us to his school parade. He was right behind his teacher, which he loved. After the parade we had a quick dinner then headed out to do some trick or treating. We ended the night in our neighborhood. We had such a fun night together!
