Happy Halloween

Since we have moved to our new home we have enjoyed simple Halloween nights in our neighborhood. Pumpkin carving and trick or treating in our neighborhood is what we look forward to every year. The only thing that makes it better is having our friends with us!

First BIG Snow of the Season

I never thought I would be someone that looked forward to Winter. I think it just might be my favorite time of the year. We had our first snow fall of the year and Logan just so happened to have the day off from school.  We made a few quick phone calls to invite a few friends over to play in the snow. It was such a fun day!

Second Grade!!!

We now have a second grader! We had a great meet the teacher night and an exciting 1st day of school. He is loving his teacher and his classmates. As a mom it is so comforting knowing he looks forward to going to school everyday. We got his first report card this week and we are so proud of him.

Every year Churchill has a Fun Run to raise money for their school. It is one of Logan's favorite events of the year. It is a lot of fun to go and encourage all the kiddos as they run their laps around the field. High energy the entire time!

Kindergarten Update

Logan had his 1st of many school pictures. He is one handsome little man. I still can not believe he is already off to school. He is doings so well and looks forward to going to school everyday. Each day after school he needs to unwind. I have learned I will get way more details about his day if I wait until dinner to ask how school was that day. We have now had two teacher conferences and we absolutely love his teacher. His is a social little guy who enjoys math. One of the many things I like about his school is they send pictures to us daily of what they are doing in class. I look forward to checking my email each day to see what my boy is doing! They had a Spirit Week and Logan had fun dressing up with all the other kids each day. He has a red folder he brings home daily with all his completed art work and school work. I pick out a few each month and take a photo for him to look back on one day.

Ice Storm = No school!

Yesterday the Rochester Public Schools were closed due to an ice storm. It is always fun when school is cancelled for bad weather. It gives us a reason to do nothing but play games, snuggle, watch movies and have a little unexpected fun. Logan and I decided to brave the ice and go play a little air hockey at the bowling alley. Turns out the roads were not really all that bad. He ended up earning enough tickets to bring home some hand cuffs. He has had his eyes on those for sometime now!

Happy Valentine's Day

Chocolate covered strawberries have become our number one Valentine's Day tradition. Logan and Kevin devoured each of their plates the moment I took them out of the fridge! This was Logan's 1st Valentine's Day since starting school. He came home on a sugar high and showed us all of his goodies from his friends at school. Kevin and I will be celebrating our Valentine's Day this weekend while Logan enjoys skiing with Gram. It is always fun having a reason to celebrate the love we have for each other!
