Flying Through February

The second month of Logan’s life was WAY more active than the first.  I just can’t seem to put the camera down.  Every day he seems to be changing or doing new things.  He has been our dream baby!  On February 3rd Logan gave me the sweetest smile when I bent down to pick him up from his crib.  This was his 1st true smile...that was not gas related.  He also started sleeping through the night on February 8th . (5 1/2 weeks) He slept 8 hours straight and has continued on that train since then!  This month has been such a fun month and it makes me so excited for the months to come. I have really enjoyed staying home each day with Logan. I cherish all the one on one time I get to have with him daily. This winter I have also kept busy with cleaning, laundry, baking, cooking, blogging, Facebook, spending time with the Lord, crafts, Pinterest, reading, meeting up with friends, and chatting on the phone. I look forward to what the Spring and Summer activities will bring! Each morning (for the most part) I wake up with a smile on my face ready to take on the day. It has been a privilege watching Kevin become a dad. He has taken great initiative to lead our home by striving to be the man God has called him to be. I am one blessed lady to have these two loves in my life!

Logan enjoys spending time each day in his swing.
He is not a fan of tummy time, but mommy
makes him suffer through it!

Logan still loves to eat and dislikes
burping greatly.
He enjoys his bath time too!
Still one of my favorite things to do with Logan...
snuggle until he falls asleep.

He has it so rough!

Logan crashed after his 1st Super Bowl party!
Makes me want to go cuddle with him right now!
On February 15th Daddy read Logan his 1st book.
I jumped right in and read him his 2nd book.
Ashley opening the gift that Logan got
her for her 4th birthday.  This was Logan's
1st time going to a friends birthday party!

Wore out from Ashley's party!
Sleeping babies are just precious!
Playing with his rattle ball.

Towards the end of the month Logan started giving
us way more smiles. We live for his smiles!
If this is not a fake cry I don't know what is?
Logan heading to his 1st group play date.
On February 9th Logan was invited to his 1st group
play date.  He is going to have so many buddies!

A few more facts: This month we have noticed Logan grunting, cooing, sucking on his hands, holding his hands together, smiling almost on cue, and playing with his hanging toys (swatting at them). Singing to him during his cranky time seems to settle him for the most part. (Which ranges from 5 pm to 7 pm - right during his nap time) He does not enjoy his back rubbed, although he does like you to pat his back. You are almost guaranteed a smile if you shake his feet, throw his hands in the air, kiss his neck, touch his lips, or clap his fists together.  One of his favorite things to do is play under his play gym or watch me cook in the kitchen. He will  sit in his bouncy chair and kick his legs, sway his arms and coo while watching me. Makes me so happy!  We have him on a four hour schedule and he is doing wonderful.  He eats, has awake time, then takes a good long nap. Just to wake up and start all over again. His bed time is still 10:30 pm. and he wakes up between 6:30  - 7 am.  We spent two nights away from home this month and he slept beautifully in his pack and play. Mommy was very pleased! He did develop cradle cap, baby dandruff, and baby acne this month. The docs have   us using Head and Shoulders to wash his hair and it is really helping. That pretty much sums up the month of February!
