Logan's 1st Halloween

Kevin and I are enjoying all of Logan's 1st experiences. I am sure even more then Logan! Being Logan’s 1st Halloween Kevin and I talked over what traditions we wanted to start as a family.  The most important thing we decided we wanted to do was allow Logan to understand the history of Halloween.  Each year we will read a story/book explaining the history (age appropriate) of Halloween. We also decided every year we would love to come up with a way to bring light to others.  This year we went to Madonna Meadows with our dear friends and handed the residents homemade cards and bookmarks.  The kiddos were such a big hit! It really warmed our hearts seeing the residents faces light up as Elise handed them their gift and said, “I made this for you”.  Katie and I had fun planning our night together for our families.  I don’t think we could have planned a better night. I have a feeling this may become a tradition for both of our families.  I do pray that the verse we chose  for their bookmarks will touch their hearts. Looking forward to visiting them again in the near future!
